On a Monhegan Morning

Like, Incoming, this was a particularly challenging image to make. I started with the background of a cove on Monhegan Island in Maine with several fishing boats and the island. But I did not have a full shot of the island and I felt that the composition was off.

In combing through my archives I found a shot of a small house with the laundry blowing in the wind — an iconic feature of island life in New England.
