Lobster Cove

Located on Monhegan Island in Maine, I shot this life-saving ring in August of 2011 with a Canon 5D Mark II. If you visit Monhegan, it’s easy to find and is located along a the southwest coast of the island. To me, the ring speaks to the perils of the sea that New Englanders have battled for centuries. There is a haunting quality to it.
